You can’t change what happens, but you can change how you see it

What’s in a Picture
Posted in XLhead on December 13th, 2008 by fantasmaCompelling story about this photo by Scott Bourne.
Worth reading even if you’re not interested in photography. It shows you how commitment and preparation help “luck” or whatever you want to call external support.
Should you want to buy it, here’s the link
Speaking of History
Posted in running on December 10th, 2008 by fantasmaI remember the house, the room, the cheap TV that showed me Coe and Ovett battling in the same race or in the same time challenge.
The things that can get through a teenager mind.
And stick.
I was more of an Ovett fan, but this Steve (Cram) wasn’t bad either

Trail Running Tips: Running Downhill
Posted in running on December 4th, 2008 by fantasmaSorry,
Merlin, it’s not about the tips. I just like how they run downhill, and the music, and I’m a fan of Karl Meltzer, and I wanted to check how the new youtube wide format embeds.
I’m usually outside sucking the marrow out of life. Really. You should too. Yuck.
Oh, no, that was a tip.
Kind of pictures you shouldn’t look at, on a foggy cold grey quickly darkening early december afternoon. Or should you.

Branding here and there
Posted in notes on December 3rd, 2008 by fantasmaAs an elegant friend of mine put it: “I’m consolidating my online identities”.
Fantasma is an active and known member of a couple of communities, while poor XL head is constantly struggling with small hats and not much more.
So I decided to retire him from online babbling and have fantasma taking the job.
He likes running so I guess there will be some changes in topics. We’ll see.
Many times you just drag yourself up The Hill. Most of the times the light is waiting for you at the top.
